The mission of the Association of Black Students at Washington University (ABS) is, to give voice and power to, address the needs of, and supplement the experience of Black students at Washington University.
We envision a flourishing Black community. One where intellectual excellence thrives alongside cultural pride, and a relentless pursuit of justice that brings positive equitable change within our community and across the university. We stand as a beacon of resilience and innovation, forever guided by tradition and driven by visionary leadership.
Our mission for the 2024 - 2025 academic school year is to Educate, Elevate. As Black college Students we have been privileged with the gift to pursue education, a commodity which is rare for many African Americans today. We have a duty as Black students in higher education to utilize this gift to elevate ourselves and those around us. ABS historically has been one of the largest and most powerful clubs here at WashU and we are elevating ourself back to this.
Sincerely,
